He also says that the teacher has arrived and that he would like to sit down and have a drink with him since he is a distinguished guest. The teacher calls him "cang teacher" and asks him to eat some of the food that he has prepared. He asks the narrator why he cannot taste the food, and the narrator explains that he cannot because the teacher only eats the dishes that he cooks. He then asks the teacher to drink the full glass of wine that he poured for him, but the teacher refuses to do so, saying that he is already a grown man, and he still has class the next day
