In this chapter, we are introduced to a young man who has just returned from a trip to the moon. He has a dream in which a light bug appears and tells him that he should kill it immediately. He then goes on to say that he wants to exchange his life for his sister's. He tells the audience that the bug is the "despicable, cruel, and wicked species" in the universe. He says that the only thing he can do to make his dream come true is to "replace all no up / egent lip / you are" .
