In this short scene, Shmoop narrates the events of the previous day. He was in the middle of a conversation with a friend when a shooting star struck him on the head. He is overcome with fear and trembling. He realizes that he has promised his baby that he would become a mature adult and that if he does not think of something soon, he will die in this world. He has not yet had a girlfriend, and he fears that his death will be the end of his dreams. He feels that he cannot lose his cool in the face of an encounter, and that he must learn how to react to his death. He tells his friend that he will be rich in a month and that even his uncle and grandpa will come to his house to ask for his autograph. The building behind the pioneers had collapsed, and the people were still waiting in the street for the lights to signal the arrival of the shooting star. He fears that the people will never be able to see such a beautiful photo in their lives. He also fears that an alien visitation will occur, but he is afraid that the citizens will not panic.
