In this chapter, Bai Ling tells his men that he is no longer the leader of the white wolf group. He tells them that the elders of the clan have decided that he has befriended a vampire and that the clan wants him to bring the vampire back to trial. Bai Ling begs them to go back inside and fight the entire clan. He says that he will gather evidence against the elders and he will be the new president of the group.
