The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Cai Ling tells the story of how she escaped from Fang's house. She tells Cai Ling that she has come to bring a wolf back to her. Cai Ling asks Cai Ling if she is deaf, and Cai Ling replies that she is. She says that the wolf smells like a vampire, but Cai Ling says that he smells like "a loser." Cai Ling is angry at Cai Ling for calling him a loser, and she says that she will not let Cai Ling get away with calling her a loser again. She also says that Cai Ling has grown up a lot, and that he has matured a lot since he escaped from the Fang house. He tells her that he is waiting for the "little wolf cub" to "grow up and beat" him, and he says that it is only yesterday that he saw Cai Ling steal the family's money. He says that this is because Cai Ling raised him for nothing. He adds that he will teach Cai Ling a lesson, and they will return to get what belongs to Cai Ling.
