The Governess tells her daughter-in-law that she can't stay at home with the Governess's son because he's too small. She also tells her that her husband is too old to be a father to her son, and that she's learned to forgive her husband's bad behavior. She says she'll go to the utility room to get help, but she can hear someone coming, so she has to hide.
