She says that her legs are paralyzed, and she is afraid that if her legs were not paralyzed, she would have felt the pain. He asks if she is saying she is lying, and his mother tells him to calm down. They are not fighting, he says, and they are not quarreling. He is a year older, and needs to be "more reasonable"
