In this chapter, Cai Ling learns that she is in danger at a dinner party being held by the "white wolf" group. She has received a letter warning her of the danger, and she must return to the hotel on the street where the party is being held. Cai Ling tries to convince herself that she has a half-vampire as her slave, but she is unable to resist the urge to run away.
