This is a locked chapterChapter 11: The Curtain Is Opened
About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a description of the general's health. He tells us that he has recovered his health with his own cultivation base, and that his injury is mostly healed. He asks his fellow monk if he should come to the holy sect to take the annual exam. The monk replies that he can report his name directly to the sect. The general tells him that helping him is his honor. He then tells the monk that the demon army is on their way. He says that he and the monk will be able to fight the remaining monsters if they don't hide anymore. He gives the monk a new bow, which is called night rain, which was given to him by his father. The bow is too weak, he says, so he will accept it instead. The two men leave the bow in the hands of the monk, who will use it to deal with the other monsters. They will then leave the problem to the general. The other monk asks why the general is using a saber instead of a sword. She was once a sword-clover, but she abandoned her sword when a senior brother betrayed her. She developed a strong dislike for sword cultivators and would beat them with her sword whenever she saw them. She would beg for mercy if they stopped beating her.
