About This Chapter
The narrator asks the audience to imagine what it must be like to be in love with someone. He tells us that he's not that picky about what movies he likes to watch, but he does want to know if it's okay that he saw something in a magazine that he thought was a good one. He also asks if it was okay for him to ask a magazine girl if she knew about a particular brand of popcorn. The narrator then asks if he'd been worried about the guy for nothing, and if he could feel his hand on her shoulder. He says that the popcorn is hurting his stomach, and he thinks that halo looks at his phone while he waits for dinner. He asks if she has an urgent matter, and she says that she does, and that she'll let him know when they're ready to eat. She asks if they should go somewhere else, and the narrator says that he doesn't want to go anywhere else, because it'll take 40 minutes to get there. He then asks her if she likes to eat at a particular restaurant, because that's where they've been recommended to go. She says that it was crowded everywhere they went, because the only person who was nervous was the guy she was talking to. She tells him that she was always busy at work, so it was hard for her to find time to talk to him. She then asks him if he has a date, because she's going to meet someone new today. She wants to introduce him to her, but first, she wants to have a meeting with the guy.
