About This Chapter
The scene opens with a conversation between a young woman and a young man. The young woman asks the young man why he hasn't said anything to her about his profession. The man replies that he's been working for a gallery owner who has asked him to head a new project. The woman tells him that she's proud of him and that he is a great colleague. She also tells the man that her sister is coming to visit and that she doesn't have much time to wait for her. She tells him to hurry up and finish the documents since she'll be staying with her parents. She says that she wants to go home to her parents, but the manager insists that she hurry up since the other team is clamoring to go back home. He tells her that happiness is what she makes of it, and that each person has his or her own idea of what happiness is like. He then proposes to her, and the young woman is surprised that he proposed before she had a chance to think about it.
