In this short scene, the young lovers discuss their first meeting outside of their "little neighborhood" . The young lovers have been seeing one another for two years, and they have gotten to know one another quite well, but they have never been "officially" dating. The narrator tells the young couple that they are both "serious" and that they have been "seeing each other" for "almost two years." He tells the couple that he will kill them if they continue to act like this. He tells them that he is going to push them so hard that they will be mortified when they land on their butts . He says that he told them this was not funny and that he was "dead serious." He says he is worried about nothing and that the young man is making him stressed. He asks the couple to go for a walk, and the narrator says that they usually meet near home, but that this is the first time they are meeting outside their neighborhood. He adds that he has been in love with her for "a long time," and that what he said was true. He wants her to know how he feels, and asks her to consider going out with him.
