About This Chapter
"What would i do?" asks the young narrator, who has just finished his first day at the theater. He asks what he would do if he were to achieve what he has, and he replies that he would still be in the same place he was when he was a child. He then asks if he would find a flaw in himself that would negatively affect him, and the narrator replies that it is not easy to find flaws in others. The young narrator asks if she is afraid of the crab and says that they are meant to be together, and that they fit well together. The narrator then asks why the engagement ring is so beautiful, and she replies that she asked her mom for her ring size, and it fit perfectly. The director asks her why she wears the ring, and her answer is that she wants to look happy when she thinks of her age. She says that she does not want to find happiness from work, but from someone else. She wants to find someone who will be happy too, and not from work. She then asks what she was thinking about when she was in the theater, and when she heard herself speak, she thought that she was "some kid," and that it made her sound "imaginative," like she was some "old kid." The director says that he was too busy to eat lunch, so he did not eat at all. He adds that he has been gaining weight, and this is why he does not wear a heavier coat
