About This Chapter
The next morning, Huck finds himself in the middle of a conversation with his supervisor, manager chun. Huck tells chun that he's been drinking too much and that he smells the alcohol on his clothes. Huck says that yunhi is leaving, and that they're going to another company. Huck is worried about his relationship with chun, because chun is his superior at work. Huck points out that chun has denied all of Huck's requests for a wedding invitation. Huck wonders if his emotions are a kind of "resource" that he needs to protect. He says that he used to be able to laugh easily, but now he gets "harder" when he gets upset. He wonders if he has been "robbed" of his emotions. Huck doesn't know what to say. He's not sure if this is a coincidence or not. The other company that Huck is working for has just put him in a new position, and Huck is sure that the other company will be unhappy to see them. Huck asks who the heck is telling him to move the car.
