About This Chapter
Love is fragile, the narrator says, and he promises to be more open about his thoughts, feelings, and even mundane details. He tells the story of how he used to love the fish in the aquarium, but now he feels that way more often. He wonders if the aquarium is too small, and wonders if it's because he's grown older. She asks him to send her the report by that afternoon, and the manager replies that he has stopped by the office to see her, and there are more texts from him before he eats breakfast, sometimes during the day, and sometimes before he wakes up. He sends her a few more texts before he goes to bed, and when he wakes, he texts her again, sometimes at night. He also sends her some more texts after he eats, and then he texts again at breakfast, and again at night, and so on. She wonders if he is not used to this kind of communication, and asks if he has sent her the estimate, and if she should ask him to marry her. He replies that she should send him a report by the afternoon, as he
