It's lunch time in the kitchen. Everyone's having a good time, and the narrator is feeling better. He thanks everyone for coming, and he's feeling a bit better, too. He wants to go to a diner, but he can't find anything to eat, so he goes to a nearby cafe. He asks the waitress if she's there, and she says yes, but she doesn't have any food to eat. He's bummed out, because he thought she was in town with him. He also wants to make something special for Sora, but there's no food in the cafe. The narrator is bummed out because he was supposed to be in town to draw a special chapter for the next volume of the story, and now he has to go back to the cafe to draw another one. He tries to make excuses for himself, but they don't seem to make any sense.
