About This Chapter
Najika and Taramasalata, two students at the same school, are having lunch when they run into each other. The girl introduces herself as "Najika" and asks the boy if he can sit next to her friend, "Sora" . The boy replies that he can, but that he's too small and thin to be next to the girl. He also says that he won the violin competition in Japan and that he and his friend have become the "magazine strawberry" and the "milk drinking contest" , respectively. He then asks if the girl is good at anything, and she says that she's good at basketball and climbing trees. He says that his uncle makes him lunch sometimes, and he says that it's a good lunch, but he can't really eat it because he doesn't like vinegar. He tells the girl that she should go home and teach herself manners, and the girl agrees.
