Akane asks the diner owner if he saw that Sora has been "out of control" since Akane left. The diner owner tells him that he needs to "do something about it" . He also tells Akane that he has to tell Sora his favorite food, because he doesn't know what to tell her when she's upset. The girl blushes, and Akane says that he would be shocked if he knew what he was talking about. He then tells the girl that daichi has been living in the dorms at the school, and that he rebelled against his family and left home. He says that senpai, the girl's mother, died of an illness, and he feels like he has intruded into her family's lives. He asks the girl if she would like to stay at the diner all the time. She says that she would, but that she is not smart enough to be a cook. She asks if it would be okay if she fell in love with someone else, and the girl says that her father is the school's director, so she'll ask him if he'll let her stay. The director of the school wants to close down the diner and make a student cook, but Akane isn't happy about it. He's going to ask his dad to take over the diner.
