In this chapter, the three immortals meet again. The first is the master of the universe, the second is the supreme priest of heaven, and the third is the messenger of the gods. The master tells the messenger that he is here to pay his respects and greet his holiness, and to ask his holiness to renew his life. The messenger tells the master that the destiny book has become problematic because of the change in the master's life, and he asks the holy master to set things in order to avoid chaos on earth. The holy master tells him that he has changed the destiny for the sake of a change in it. He says that he knows that heaven follows a rule, and that he gets what he deserves and reaps what he sows. He asks the messenger to help him because he has done those things for him, since the master changed the fates of mortals. But the messenger says that this is not fair, because those who follow heaven live, and those who do not follow heaven die. He also says that it is his duty to safeguard heaven and follow the path of heaven. When the messenger asks him why heaven and earth follow the same path, the master replies that heaven teaches good and evil, but earth does not. He adds that he can consider renewing the life of the messenger, but he has to promise him one thing.
