This chapter's epigraph is from a letter that yueyue'er wrote to her lover, the prince of the Da yuan kingdom. In the letter, she explains that she has been kidnapped by a group of people who want to kill the prince, but they have spent a lot of time and effort to lock her up in order to threaten the prince. The prince will have to pay the price, she says, and the group should not have kidnapped her to threaten him. She tells the prince that she is his future wife, and that she will be his mistress. She asks the prince if he wants her to die, and he replies that he does, but that no one succeeded in getting him to do so. .
