This chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Lin learns that he has been reborn as the heir to the throne. He asks the doctor if he knows that he was reborn with jin, and the doctor tells him that jin asked him to do so when he still did not know that Cui had died. Lin wonders if destiny can be reversed, but the doctor assures him that it is not. The doctor tells Lin that his brother will be home the next day, and that he should tell jin not to return to his mansion. Lin tells the doctor that he is not the prince, and asks him to look after jin. He then asks her to change the bandages for him, and she agrees to do it. Lin then asks linzhen to meet her at the palace to discuss the matter. Lin is shocked to learn that her brother is in love with the regent, and he asks her not to flirt with him
