In this chapter, we learn that Lin Yaoyle's mother and father have arrived at the Temple of Heaven to seek the assistance of the master of the confusion, who is trying to remove some herbs from the body to prevent the death of Lin Yioyue. Lin Yaoyue, however, has already poisoned her daughter with the herbs, so she must either sacrifice herself or die. Lin zhenyu, who has come to the Temple with her father, is also in danger of being poisoned by the herbs. She begs the king to allow her to sacrifice herself, but the king refuses.
