In this short scene, Dr. Frankenstein tries to convince himself that he is immortal and that his body is immortal. He tells the audience that he has a gift for them all and that he will use it to destroy them all. He then launches into a long speech about how his body will protect him and how he will be dead if he does not stop attacking the child. The audience is shocked to hear this speech and is horrified to hear that the monster is getting away.
