"Reborn to be a Movie Queen" is the title of the first chapter of the play. It is set in the present day. It opens with a conversation between Miss Guizhou and Mr. Tang, who is in the middle of a meeting with the company's management. The conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Mr. Guizhou's wife, Miss Guitianqing, who has come to tell the company that she will be putting "feifan" on the blacklist. Miss Guitanqing is furious that the company has placed her husband on blacklist, and she demands to know what has caused the blacklist to be placed on her husband. The two men try to explain that they have to go to an "emergent meeting" in order to deal with the matter, but they are unable to do so because of the time constraints.
