The scene opens in the conference room of the hotel where the signing of the contracts is taking place. The two young actresses, song and yufei, are waiting for their turn to sign their contracts. The actress, who is dressed in black, asks the newcomer why he is there. The newcomer tells her that he has been recommended by an "influential actor" and that he is here because he was "recommended" by the actor. He tells the newcomer that he must follow his "arrangements" and not to "stir up trouble" . He warns him that if he does not do so, he will regret entering into the entertainment business. The actor, huarong, tells the young actress that she is the "best agent" in the business and that she has "pulled some strings" to get into the business. He asks the actress why she would show respect for the "savior" , and the actress tells him that she does not know how to speak properly.
