The scene opens at a cocktail party at the Empire Hotel in New York City. The guests are all gathered around the bar, enjoying themselves. Mr. Lau tells Caifeng that he knows what Caifeng is thinking. Caifeng tells him that he can leave now. He asks Caifeng what he can do for him now that he is free. He tells her that he will do anything for her. He then proposes a toast to Caifeng and asks her if she would accept it. She says that she will not accept it because she is still drugged. She then asks him if he would accept her keycard if she were to leave. He says that he would use it to punish Caifeng.
