The chapter opens with Gu Ancheng scolding his brother for his treatment of Cai Ling. He tells his brother that Cai Ling is being treated differently by her brother, and that he should not be afraid to fight for Cai Ling's interests. He also tells him that he must treat Cai Ling well if he wants Cai Ling to be friends with him. Cai Ling, however, refuses to listen to his brother's advice, and tells him to go to his private room and talk to his secretary. When Cai Ling asks for an extra salad, Cai Ling says that he is full, and they are done with the dinner. Cai Ming tells him not to worry, as he will get the money soon.
