In this chapter, the protagonist dreams of taking a class with a cane in the same classroom as his professor and his students. He tells his classmates that he is so excited that he will be able to take the class with the cane. He also tells them that the electricity maintenance has been scheduled for the night, so he will go check it out. The protagonist then tells the class about a story about a woman who lost her sleep at night and went to a nearby well, where she came upon a human figure. The woman asked the protagonist if she would like to swim or exercise, and the protagonist freaked out, thinking she was the ghost of her dead aunt.
