In this chapter, Caixin introduces us to his friends, Cang Shu and Ching-Lin, who are planning to go to the "escape room" at his dad's house this weekend. They've got four tickets to the escape room, and they're planning to invite their friends to come along as well. The boys are psyched to be going to the haunted house, but they can't figure out a way to get out of the room without scaring the heck out of each other. Finally, they decide to go ahead and play the escape game.
