About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Bishamon's "little game of house" has come to an end, and that he has "broken too many vessels" . We learn that the new burial vessel is being used as a shield against the attack of the enemy, and it is the fault of the old one that has been turned into this new one. The old one has been "aged" , and the new one is "turned into this" because of it. The two men agree that it is better to die than to live in this box forever, and they both agree that they would rather die than be stuck alive in the box forever. They also agree that the death of the dead body is preferable to living in it forever, since it will give them a chance to speak out against the evil that they see in the new body.
