In the meantime, we've got a little chat with the boy. He's a little bummed out that Bishamon isn't feeling well, but he's also a little worried about what's going on with Miuchi. The boy's not sure what Miuchi is talking about. He doesn't know if she's in love with him, or if she just wants to get away with something. The only thing that makes him feel better is that Miuchi didn't even kiss him. Um, that's kind of a bummer, right? Miuchi's the only one who's been acting like a jerk to the boy lately. The other gods, he says, don't seem to care about Miuchi at all. Miuchi, he tells us, is dead, so she can "play around" without any strings attached. He tells us that he brought the boy to Miuchi because he wanted to impress her, but now that he thinks about it, he realizes that he probably shouldn't have brought him to her in the first place, since he'd be too old to impress anyone. He also says that he can't blame Miuchi for worrying about him, since she has a "quick wit" and is not "inclined to err" . He wants to do something to stop this "chain of discord" , so he tells the boy that he'll never forget him.
