The next morning, Hiroshi asks his father why he hasn't told him more. Hiroshi tells him that he wants to see his friends and family, but that he doesn't know how to tell them what's going on. He tells his father to go to his mother and tell her that Hiroshi isn't feeling well. He also tells her to tell his grand mother that he's fine. He's feeling better, he says, because he asked for Hiroshi's help in getting back to fighting the shrine ayakashi. He asks if he can hear her say, "kazuma" . He wants to know why she's telling everyone about the shinki. He says that he hopes that if he had a stray, they'd put an end to the whole thing. He then asks if there's a reason Hiroshi is going out of his way to tell everyone about it. His father says that it's because he has a "friendly affection" for the "foul miscreant" , and that if they get him angry, he won't be able to train him as a partner. The father tells his son to wait and see if it'll be a strap.
