It's been a while since we've heard from Miyuchi, but now that he's gone, we get a little glimpse of what's going down between the two of them. It turns out that Hiroyuki has sent a message to his son, asking him to come back to his father's house. Miyuki's dad has sent the message, but Hiroyuki doesn't know what to make of it. He's afraid that his father is trying to make him his shinki, which is like a god's shrine, but Miyuki says that's not the case. He thinks his dad wants to make Miyuki his own shinki so he won't have to worry about the gods' secret anymore. He tells Miyuki to go back to her father and ask him why he'd want to guard the shinki. He also tells her that Miyuki should be very wary of her father because she's his daughter, not his son. She's worried about Hiroyuki, so she decides to stay home and look after him.
