About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the two shinkis, kugaha and aiha, have been using their names to enslave and brandish weapons. The only thing we know for sure is that they've been using the names of their gods to enslave their fellow humans. We're not sure why they're using their gods' names, but it's probably because they want to be like a family, or maybe they just want to have a bond with their gods. Aww, that's kind of a weird idea. We also learn that, in the past, the dead spirit of one of the clan's dead ancestors would come to veena's house, and she'd welcome him as her dead spirit's shinki. But now that she's reunited with her clan, she'll welcome anyone who calls themselves a shinki, even if they don't belong to her clan. We learn that if you make the shinki a stray, they'll think he's kidnapped you, and he'll probably think that they kidnapped him for some reason. But if you keep him as a traitor, they can use him for something else. The odds are 10 to 1 against you, but you're counting on him to kill Bin.
