He tells him that he overreacted when he found out that she was sleeping with someone else. He says that she told him that there was no love between them and that it was their first time sleeping together. He also tells her that she shot a man with a gun and beat the man's father. The narrator says that he has gone crazy and that he won't let Henry go. He wants to be brave again.
