Before they met, Henry and Jenny were both depressed. Henry tells Jenny that he's going to throw the box of Tom's body into the sea. Jenny thinks that's a good idea, since she's still hoping that Tom is still alive. Henry also tells Jenny about a time when he tried to commit suicide, but his mother died before he could do it. Jenny wants to go to Canada to live with her family, but Henry won't let her go.
