In this chapter, Roxane tries to convince Lily to return to her father, but Lily refuses to listen to her advice. She tells Roxane that she is too young to have children, and that she will have to wait until she is older to have a child of her own. Lily wonders why she would want to be a parent when her parents are so sad. Lily admits that she loves Lily, but that she sometimes feels jealous of her father's ability to get people to love him. Lily asks Roxane to knock it off, and to stay away from men like Roxane.
