The chapter opens with a letter from Toji, who has received many letters from people praising his performance in Gulliver's Travels. The narrator tells us that since the book is about the relationship between momo and Kiley, Toji does not show up for the reunion. He does, however, send a message to his sister, misao, who is still recovering from a ball-induced brain injury.
