In this chapter, Roxane tries to find out who the "old guy" is and what he's doing with all of her money. She's also trying to figure out what the "teen friend" of hers is doing with her money, since she's not allowed to go anywhere. Roxane tells Roxane that she doesn't care about what she does, since it's just a matter of getting her skin "whitened." Roxane says she has only one product left on her program, and that's all she needs to do is buy a second one. She says she'll be back in a week with the second one, and she'd like to give it to Roxane's daughter, who's still in high school. But Roxane isn't buying it, because she've already spent a lot of money on the program. She asks Roxane if she thinks her daughter will be all right, and he says she probably won't be. He also tells her that the picture of her in the mirror was a fake, and Roxane is embarrassed that she can't believe it. She wonders if Roxane will get kicked out of high school, and then she wonders if her daughter is still bummed about the fake photo. She also wonders if the girl is bummed about her upcoming exams, or about the fact that she hasn't seen Roxane in a long time. She tells him that she just wants them to stay together, and asks him if he has any idea of what's bothering her. He says he has no idea.
