The chapter opens with a chirp chirp. It's the end of the school year, and the two girls finally have a chance to meet up. The chirp chirp is all about breaking the news to the other girl that she's going to be going out with her brother for the first time in a long time. She's worried that her mom won't listen to her, so she tells her that she can't go to her house tonight because she'll be late for her mom's curfew. She also tells her mom that she lied to her about going to school, and that she doesn't apologize for it. She says that she didn't realize that things were so bad between her and her mom until she apologizes, but she still thinks that it's a bad idea to make people sad. She tells the girl to go to the head teacher's room and tell him that she needs to talk to him. The girl tells her brother that she has a secret recipe notebook that she keeps in her closet, and she asks him to show it to her when she goes out with him. He says that he'll do it for her, too, since he's really into the recipe book. The two girls decide that they'll go out together, but they're not sure how to go about it.
