In this scene, we learn that the demon king wants the blood-stone, which is the key to defeating the monster. He wants to kill the woman who has protected him for so long, but she refuses to kill him. She is loyal to her husband, so she will not kill him, even if he tries to kill her. She says that she has saved countless people over the centuries, and that if she had returned their favor, the demon King would have given the task to the monster race. The other races were more powerful than the monster, and therefore should not have been given the same task. She explains that even though she did not understand why he chose her to protect the holy treasure, he knew she could do it, and she swore inwardly that she would never fail him, no matter what happened. She tells him that if he enters the world, he will surely be killed. She asks him how he can get the bloodstone, and he tells her that he cannot give it to her or her husband. He says that he can leave the world without taking it, or he can stay and die old age. He asks her if she will seek her help. She replies that she will, but that she made a pact with the demon, and now she will be in danger.
