In this chapter, we learn that Mingji and Yuefeifan are in the middle of an argument. Mingji wants to have a little chat with them, but he can't bring himself to do so. He wants to go home, and he wants to be alone with his pet. He tells the cat that he wants Mingji dead, and the cat begs Mingji to help him, but Mingji refuses, saying that he's not her friend. He says that he can treat Mingji however he likes, but that he doesn't want Mingji's friendship to interfere with his freedom to do whatever he likes. He threatens to challenge Mingji if he wants.
