In this chapter, we learn that Mingji has cast a "charm spell" on Mingji, and Mingji is furious. He tells Mingji that he will not be attracted to anyone who does not cast the spell. Mingji tells him that he has to look at his unattractive wife to get her ugly. He says that some women "are overly self-obsessed with their appearance". Mingji says that the real monster would never "silly girl" marry a "monster general", and that she would never be the "monster king's maid" . He wants Mingji to take him to meet the "real monster queen" , so that he can learn more about female monsters.
