The demon king tells Mingji that he's not special to him, and that if he made a mistake, Mingji's wife would be killed. Mingji says that he won't do that again, and he warns Mingji not to try to trick the demon king again. He says that Mingji can trade his life for the woman he loves now, but Mingji has no right to do so, because Mingji is tied up by his spiritual rope, and can't escape. He asks Mingji to summon anyone who wants to hurt Mingji, and Mingji promises to do just that.
