In this chapter, the young narrator reflects on the events of the previous chapter. He has just witnessed his sister's kiss someone. He wonders why her sister brings a man home instead of food and rice. He feels relieved that he will be by his side now that he is with him. He tells the reader that his relationship with haeseon has become more serious and he is certain that he wants to marry him forever. He says that he has heard from his mother that she likes him too. He asks if she also likes him, and she says that she does. The young narrator says that seeing his sister and his mother together makes him realize what he really wants.
