A month later, on New Year's Eve, Jim and seontae go to the top of the world's tallest building, the L-shaped tower, to ring in the new year. They are disappointed to find that there are other people waiting to ride in the elevator with them, but they are happy to see that they are the only two people in the world who will be able to enjoy the view of the city from the top. Seontae tells Jim that she and he have been dating more seriously since then, and that she is still upset that he kissed her too much. She asks him if he would like to have a dessert with her at her house, and he tells her that he is having dinner with his family that night, so he must leave now
