One year later, the two men are still in the middle of a conversation. The young man asks the old man if he thinks that the master has lost his ability to seduce. The old man replies that he has already lost that ability, and that the man is like a "floral peacock in heat" . The two men discuss the possibility of marriage, and the young man says that he doesn't know who the man's partner is, but he does know that he's never been interested in love, and he'd rather be married than have a partner. The men grab each other and run off to get married. The older man tells the younger man to go back to his room and apologize for eavesdropping.
