The next morning, Cai Ming asks the young man to take him to the street market to enjoy the festival atmosphere. The young man agrees to go first, and Cai Ming tells him not to worry about him, as he'll just walk around. He tells Cai Ming that he has a lantern that he can use to express his gratitude to Cai Ming, and he suggests that Cai Ming go to the market and immerse himself in the atmosphere. If something good happens, he says, then he can also use the atmosphere to convey his message. Cai Ming says that he's almost done picking up Cai Ming. He's not sure if Cai Ming will like the lantern, but he hopes that he will. He says that it took him a while to find the market place, and that it's now time for him to pick up the lantern. He asks Cai Ming to meet him at the bridge where the parade is taking place. The road is blocked, so Cai Ming has to walk around the other side of the bridge to get to the parade.
