It's been a week since the deal was made, and Little Em'ly is still feeling sick. She's expecting someone to come and help her, but she doesn't have that person around her, so she's going to have to deal with it on her own. She tells herself that she can't be disappointed, and that she'll try to be nice to her mother again, if that's what she wants. She asks if she can trust her friend, and he tells her that he's by her side this time, because she practiced cultivating so often that her spiritual powers inside her body were in flux. He says that if he were to be consumed by his own power, he'd be in danger. He tells her to hug him tight, and she says that she wants him to turn into a "fox" . He hugs her tight, saying that he heard that human beings like furry things, and it turns out that it's true. He asks her if she has anything else she wants, and when she replies that she does, he says that he wants her to be a fox, too.
