About This Chapter
The servant asks why he's so hard-working. He says he doesn't need a reason, so he can leave the wolf kingdom one day. He tells the servant that he has been in trouble before with the eldest son of the wolf. The eldest son, he says, was very respectful at first, but then he was disgusted by the servant's behavior. The servant says that he just wants someone to say sorry to him. He's not sure if the servant is apologizing for saving the clan or for saving himself, but he clenches his fists and says he'd rather die than accept this life without dignity. He adds that he'll crawl his way out of the kingdom if he has to. He thinks that the servants who are chosen by their masters usually do the opposite, and that's why he wants to leave. He also says that it's exciting to think of being chosen as a servant, but that he needs to learn more before he can support his future master.
